25.11.2015 The Batlow Cider Process

A lot of people ask us what makes ‘real cider’? Our philosophy is that ‘real cider’ is made with real apples and pears without the use of concentrates or any other additives and made in a way that respects traditional cider making methods. We grow some of the best apples in the country, so our aim is to respect the Batlow Apples we use, adding as little into the process as possible. Here’s a production map of our cider making process. We minimise wastage, even the pulp is fed to local pigs!
